    Workout Log – Aug. 19

      Yesterday morning I woke up at 7:30am to go to the gym. I was having second thoughts because I knew I was going to be late but kind of forced myself to get up because I needed this. There’s an 8am zumba class and I was late by 30 minutes. I still joined the group and had a great time working out by dancing.

    A couple of weeks ago, I was browsing through Instagram when I stumbled upon a hashtag #GoodMorningGirls. Courtney of WomenLivingWell hosts a daily Bible reading devotion. They just finished a topic and was going to start on the book of Mark. I decided to read along. We’re reading one chapter a day and using the SOAK method to study. SOAK stands for: Scripture – reading the Bible passages and writing down the exact words of a particular verse that spoke to you.     This year I started reading daily devotionals again but about two weeks ago, I decided to write about my reflections. I created a new Tumblr account where I could write down thoughts I had about the lessons I learn each day. I followed Joyce Meyer’s “New Day, New You” devotional from the Bible app. I want to blog daily about it, but at the moment, I can’t seem to make it “fit” my schedule.     It’s been a while. I have been… pre-occupied for the past few weeks with working overtime and practicing with photoshop. I had a wonderful Sunday with my new found friends. After attending church service and having late lunch with mom’s friends, I went back to church to meet with my new D-group. At the moment, there’s only 3 of us and the other girl was out of town.     It has been almost two months since the new year began and I realized I have been putting this post off for weeks. I was pre-occupied with work and extracurricular activities but we’re still in the first quarter — it’s never too late to start something. I welcomed the new year with a new layout.     Merry Christmas! How did you spend Christmas today? Since mom and I aren’t traditional, Christmas is just a regular day for us. It’s an extra day where can have more rest. We don’t have a tree and we didn’t set up Christmas lights either. We also live far from the rest of the family, but we’ll see them on Sunday when we celebrate my grandfather’s birthday. Don’t get me wrong, there’s still a lot of things to be grateful for.

    A lot of things has happened in the past two weeks. Aside from work, I spent last Sunday lining up at the book signing of Christine Brae, Tarryn Fisher, and Colleen Hoover. On Thursday, one my dogs, Richard, passed away and it was devastating. To make myself feel better, I went to Broadway Centrum yesterday to watch Eat Bulaga live in the hopes to see Alden Richards. My mission was a success. I went to MIBF afterwards and bought 6 books less 20% off! While I find time to write about those things, here’s what I’m currently up to:
