How I Got Into Bullet Journaling

As a spontaneous person, I find it hard to stick to plans. I know how to make plans, but I can’t seem to follow it to a tee. Planning has always been a guide — one often ignored — as I go through my days. Planners are wasted on me. I’ve had a lot of those through the years and they go untouched or barely used. Back in 2016, a few months after I learned how to do modern brush calligraphy, I stumbled upon bullet journaling. The concept was so simple and promising that I thought I’d give it a try. I researched it on Instagram and Pinterest which was…

    First Calligraphy Anniversary

I didn’t have enough time to take my own photo for this post so I just took a photo from Pexels. It’s been exactly a year since I first started learning modern calligraphy. My interest towards this form of art began when I kept seeing beautifully written words and typography all over the web and I thought to myself “I want to decorate my room with that”. I could do it digitally, but there was something about doing it by hand that I find cooler and more interesting.

Book Review: Lightning Kissed by Lila Felix

I’m glad I signed up for this tour because I loved the story of Colby and Theo and the idea of traveling in a blink of an eye. It’s a lovely story. I’ve included information about the book after the jump. There’s also a giveaway at the end of this post. I have not read a paranormal book in a long time and it’s refreshing to be sucked into a fictional world like this one, ESPECIALLY since it’s a clean book. It doesn’t have sex in the story. Lightning Kissed (Lucent #1) by Lila Felix Colby Evans can leap from one country to the next in a heartbeat. She can…

Book Review: The V Girl by Mya Robarts

My first review for 2016 is the last book I finished the previous year. The V Girl is an interesting story written by Mya Robarts. It’s a debut novel if I’m not mistaken, and it’s my pleasure to read and review this book. The V Girl has an uncomfortable topic, but it was an interesting concept. What if rape was made legal in our world? It’s just wrong in so many levels. Could it somehow be possible in the future? That’s why I signed up to review this book, I wanted to know how the author imagined such a world. Thanks to Xpresso Book Tours and Mya Robarts for providing a copy.…

Book Review: The Wednesday Letters by Jason F. Wright

I found this book at Powerbooks in one of the warehouse sales. It “called out” to me. I normally do not buy books I am not familiar with, but this was different. First of all, I am attracted to the color red. I am also interested about the letters mentioned in the blurb. After a few months, I found out that there’s a letter attached at the back of the book marked “epilogue”. I did not read it. I almost did, but I didn’t. The Wednesday Letters by Jason F. Wright Add to Goodreads The surprise New York Times bestseller, from an author who delivers “American storytelling at its best.” The…

Book Review: Whipped by Alex Lux

I received a Kindle copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I did not receive monetary compensation for reading and writing about it. While this is a series, the books can be read as stand alone. There’s no cliffhanger, just sex. And lots of it. That said, this is for mature audiences only. If you’re below 18, please know better and stay away from this book. 😀 Vi was a dominatrix who now owns a sex toy shop in Vegas. She also happens to be looking for a new roommate. I bet you can imagine where this is going. Whipped (Hitched #2) by Alex Lux…

Book Review: Hitched by Alex Lux

I received a Kindle copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I did not receive monetary compensation for reading and writing a review. WARNING: This book is for mature audiences only. It contains a lot of sex and swearing not suitable for people under 18. I normally don’t review erotica-ish books on my blog but I thought I might as well do since I’ve started reading the genre anyway. The first full-length book with a similar theme that I read is Fifty Shades of Grey, and I didn’t even read that, I listened to the audiobook because I couldn’t stand the writing style. Plus, it’s porn.…

Review: Only A Kiss by Ines Bautista-Yao

Only A Kiss is written by Ines Bautista-Yao, a Filipina, and I am so happy to be part of this book tour. I featured this the other day and posted an excerpt which you can find by clicking here. Aside from my review, there is also a giveaway at the end of this post. Only A Kiss by Ines Bautista-Yao Add to Goodreads When she was nine-years-old, Katie knew she wanted Chris to give her her first kiss. It wasn’t because she was in love with him (no way, he was her best friend! Besides, she was in love with his fourteen-year-old big brother), it was because she could make…
