    The Wicked Experience

On Tuesday night, I took the day off from work to watch Wicked the musical with my mom at Solaire. I have been waiting for this moment ever since I saw the advert for the show a couple of months ago. A friend sponsored our tickets and I am eternally grateful for her generosity.

The First Day of 2017 with Saving Sally

It’s a Sunday. The first day of the new year. I am feeling good about myself and the promise of a new start… which started late for me. I went to bed at 5am and woke up 11am hoping to catch the 12 o’clock worship service, but my eyes and neck hurt so I decided to go back to sleep and go to the 6pm service instead. Praise God for options! It was 3pm by the time I woke up again. Mom was feeling under the weather so I took the dogs out for a walk before I got ready to go to church. It felt good to start the year by…

Weekly Obsession: Late Night Talk Shows

I have been watching YouTube videos on my phone while lying in bed this past week. While I started with watching Ryan Higa, Natalie Tran, and some music videos, I found myself obsessing over episode clips from late night talk shows. Late night talk shows are not new to me, I would watch The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel Live from time to time. But a few months back I stumbled upon The Late Late Show with James Corden and his carpool karaoke is very entertaining. I think it’s the most relaxed setting where he can interview artists while singing to their famous songs. He has carpooled with Jennifer…

Top 5 Game Picks for July

The picture has nothing to do with this post. I was just too lazy to snap a recent photo so I decided to use a picture from my childhood. 😛 I quit playing games a couple of years ago and only kept Clash of Clans as my stress reliever. But since I stopped playing CoC last April, I searched for alternative games which didn’t need an internet connection or didn’t require me to come back to it often so I can play at my own pace. I downloaded a bunch of free games from the Play Store and checked them out one by one. I don’t know if I’ll do…

I Got A Free 1 Year Subscription of Vessel from Ellen DeGeneres

Vessel is a new website and app that provides early access to the web’s best short-form creators for a monthly subscription of $2.99. It was launched to the public last March 24 and offered a free one (1) year subscription to everyone who signed up on the first 72 hours. Now, that time has passed but do not fret. Ellen DeGeneres has recently teamed up with Vessel and is offering the same deal to everyone who will sign up in the next 48 hours. I was fortunate enough to see this in my Facebook feed just an hour after it was posted on her official page, and I am now sharing it with…

How was your Christmas? And Some Game Reviews

O hai. I meant to do this sooner, like last week, but I was…erh..busy. Anywho… How was your Christmas? Mine was a bit uneventful as we spent it in bed, playing games on our phones. Heh. I’m just here for some game reviews of ones I really liked since I got my new phone. Plants vs. Zombies 2 Aawyeah! I was one of the people who got addicted to Plants vs. Zombies when it first came out years ago. When the 2nd version came out, I so wanted to play it but my previous phone was outdated.

Gift Ideas for the Musically Inclined

This post is a little late since Christmas already came and went, but I think it’s still a good topic to write about since it doesn’t have to be Christmas to give someone a gift, right? Music is a big part of our lives. We hear music blasting from the jeepney radio as we are on commute or put our headphones on as we tune in to our playlists when we’re headed to work. A lot of people play instruments or learn how to play one so they could cover their favorite songs. I, for one, learned to play the guitar so I could do song covers when I have…

    Fall TV 2013 – September

Yeeaaaah… This post is about 3 months late. I meant to write it in September but got a little busy and writing an article like this takes time and research. Better late than never. Besides, I’m only “late” based on TV junkie standards, otherwise, there are still a lot of people who haven’t seen or even heard of these shows until they’ve made enough buzz. ^_^ In this post, I’m only covering shows that premiered in September. I’m sure there are a lot of them, but the ones in my list are the ones that I’ve been waiting for, or have heard of, that caught my attention. If you have…

    Movie Review: Monsters University (2013)

It’s the sequel I’ve been waiting for! Well, it’s actually a prequel to the first Monsters film. When I first heard of a second film coming out, I thought it was a continuation and that we’d see what happened to Boo. Nonetheless, I wasn’t disappointed. A look at the relationship between Mike and Sulley during their days at Monsters University — when they weren’t necessarily the best of friends. Mike and Sulley weren’t always the best of friends, in fact, they disliked each other from the first time they met. Their life in the University and experiences in the scare program explains the foundation of their friendship in Monsters, Inc.…

    Snow White and the Huntsman

Friday night I went to Shangri-La Plaza with my mom to watch the special screening of Snow White and the Huntsman for free, thanks to Nuffnang Philippines and Skin White. I wasn’t THAT interested in the movie at first, but after finding out that Chris Hemsworth is the huntsman, I was excited to see what it was about. The movie was scheduled to begin at 9:30pm, but we were supposed to be there by 8pm for registration. We arrived 15 minutes late and there weren’t good seats left, so I chose isle seats that were infront of each other. Before the movie started, there was a short program where the…
