Finding Old Blogger Friends with Delicious Looking Somewhat Easy Food Recipes

When I first started blogging, one of the known bloggers I followed and liked was Sarah. Long story short, she quit blogging or got busy or something, but we remained social network friends, and some days ago when I asked for blog links coz I was in the mood to bloghop, she left a comment on one of my posts with the link to her new blog. YAY! Tonight I was trolling her blog and left comments to some of her recent posts when I saw this delicious looking thing. For one thing, I don’t really eat bacon (or anything pork), but there are a few exceptions, this would probably…

25 Ways to Wear a Scarf

I’m not a scarf-wearing person but after watching cool video, I may start wearing scarves more often. I found this video while browsing the DIY blogs that I follow. After watching this, I immediately liked and subscribed to the channel because it seems like I could learn a lot from her. ^_^

    Feeling Crafty

For the past weeks I’ve been talking/writing about wanting to do crafts and learning new things like sewing and crochet. I already got my sewing kit fixed. Earlier this week, I decided to bring out the sewing machine and clean it. I need a refresher on how to use this thing, I asked mom to teach me some time. It’s a Brother sewing machine which has been with us for years now. We haven’t used it in about 3 or 4 years though. I also found my old cross-stitch stuff. The last time I worked on this was about 11 or 12 years ago. I still have all the Adia…

Things I Bought and Learned Today

This morning, I sent a text message to Mia telling her to come over if she ever wants to. Of course she did. Initially, the plan was to stay in the house while I did chores and she wanted to try the shisha my mom bought about 3 weeks ago. However, we ended up having early dinner in Sbarro and buying stuff I needed for my sewing kit and a project I wanted to do. For early dinner, I had cheese and white cheese pizza. Yes, two slices of pizza because I’m a glutton. Mia had baked zitti in white sauce. It was fun and we talked about a lot…

Oops.. I did it myself *snip* *snip*

I have this shirt, It was given to me a long time ago. It’s huge and is even bigger than my huge body. Last week I wrote about DIYs and plans of upcycling old clothes and today I finally decided to cut this shirt. This was taken last year. I look thinner than what I really looked like. This is a bit experimental since it’s my first time cutting a perfectly good, but so huge, shirt. I bet Denise will be happy to know that I ruined a shirt with Canada printed on it. 😉 First thing I did was wear it and mark the parts I planned to cut…

    Things I Bought

If I’m not mistaken, it was last Friday when mom and I went shopping for some things we needed. I made a shopping list using the iPod app I downloaded the day before. I wasn’t planning on buying much, just items that I think I would need in the near future, like supplies. I bought a new pair of sharp scissors for cutting fabric [OH YES, I’m going to do a DIY project soon!], all our household scissors are dull or chipped or broken. The pen corrector on the left side came with the scissors, it’s like a promo buy one, take one thing. The cutter is 10 pesos only,…

    This Set-up, WANT!

I’m getting lazy with the blogging again. Okay, not that much but most of the things that I want to write about involves taking pictures and I’m too lazy to take pictures because my camera is sort of broken. Yes, I’m making excuses. Lately, I have been addicted to playing The Sims Social. I log in everyday, play about an hour or so, log of or do something else, then go back to the game. It’s addicting with all the quests and making money to buy more furniture, the 15 energy limit is frustrating. You can barely do anything with it.Anyway, what I really want to share here is, I…

    Puppies’ First Bath

This afternoon, mom and I went out to do some errands which took about 2-3 hours to finish. When we got home, half of the puppies were peed on by one or two or all three adult male pugs. We had no choice but to bathe them because simply wiping them with soap and washcloth will not get rid of that pungent smell. Our plans to go to the vet had to wait till tomorrow because I didn’t want to stress the puppies more after giving them their first bath.I heated some water, added baby soap, while mom got ready to receive each pup with a towel and blow drier.…

On DIYs and Up-cycling Old Clothes

Two weeks ago, I was in Mia’s room when I noticed that she was using StumbleUpon. I was reminded that I had an account and maybe it was a good idea to use it. She was browsing DIY sites and that’s when all this started. I’d like to think of myself as a person who’s good with doing crafts. Thinking back, i realized that home economics was my favorite high school subject because I liked the things we used to do then (drafting, cross-stitching, sewing, steno writing, etc). I don’t, however, consider myself creative and/or fashionable, or at least not that much. Finding blogs that have DIY and up-cycling instructions really caught…

The Effects of Coffee to a Non-coffee Drinker

My sleeping habits are becoming worse and worse every day. I go to sleep at 3 or 4 am and wake up at 11am and i get sleepy again at 5pm. This afternoon, i was so sleepy but i didn’t want to take a nap because it’ll add a few more hours of awake time for me. So i made coffee. I’m not a coffee drinker and my coffee usually has tons of creamer and sugar in it. It’s funny because i used a 3-in-1 coffee mix but i still added creamer and 2 sachets of splenda. It was good though because i instantly got the energy i needed to…
